Rough week for Gen-X & some of our heroes

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, Ozzy Osbourne and Hulk Hogan all gone too soon

Malcolm, Ozzy and Hulk

This week sure has been a tough one for Gen Xers, with a trio of the legends that we laughed with on TV, listened to on the radio and rooted on in the ring, gone too soon.

Malcolm-Jamal Warner, who we knew best from “The Cosby Show” in the ‘80s as “Theo Huxtable”, was in Costa Rica, on vacation. While swimming with his 8-year-old daughter, Malcolm tragically drowned. He was only 54. Read more here.

Just a couple weeks after reuniting with his band Black Sabbath for one final show, Ozzy Osbourne has passed away from Parkinson’s Disease at age 76. Read more here.

Aside from his career as the “Godfather of Heavy Metal”, we got an inside look into his personality as a family man via “The Osbournes” on MTV in the early 2000s. Check out some classic clips of Ozzy from the show below...

Finally, what can we say about Hulk Hogan. Stretching beyond the wrestling ring, “The Hulkster” was an absolute icon in pop culture, appearing in movies, tv shows, cartoons and more. Coincidentally, we also got a closer look at his dad life with “Hogan Knows Best”, a VH1 reality show.

Today, we learned Hogan, a fellow Floridian, has passed on at the age of 71 from cardiac arrest. Read more here.

Rest in peace, legends.
