The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration has announced the recall of car seats made by Columbus Trading-Partners USA Inc.
Children can pull pieces of foam from the car seat’s headrest pad and that poses a choking hazard.
The recall impacts about 20,500 CYBEX Sirona M Convertible Child Car seats with the following model numbers:
- 518000385
- 518002153
- 518000387
- 518002145
- 518002149
- 518002151
- 519000211
They were made between Nov. 3, 2017, and Aug. 31, 2018, the NHTSA said.
The company will send owners of the recalled car seats instructions on how to seal the headrest foam.
The letters are expected to be sent next month.
