Another Record For Brady; Construction Begins on I-275 In Tampa

Tom Brady sets another NFL record during the Bucs 38-3 win over the Chicago Bears Sunday at Raymond James Stadium. He threw his 600th career touchdown, with the Bucs now 6-1 for the team’s best start in franchise history. The game ball from that historic throw was accidentally given to Byron Evans from St Petersburg, a fan in the stands by Mike Evans, but the Bucs made a deal to get the ball back. The traffic flow along the I-275-I-4 interchange will be impacted by construction starting today. The Florida Department of Transportation plans to add one lane in each direction from I-275 near I-4 to just north of Hillsborough Avenue. The majority of detours will be set up overnight from 9 pm to 6:30 pm to avoid issues with rush hour traffic. There’s an open house set for Thursday, November 4 from 11 am to 1 pm. and from from 5 pm to 6:30 pm.at the Hillsborough County Schools Bus Transfer Ramp Parking Area at 505 E. If you’re not checking a bag for your next flight out of Tampa International Airport you can take advantage of the new Blue Express Curbsides service. No other airport in the country has this option that should be open in time for the Thanksgiving travelers on November 16th. You won’t have to go through ticketing or baggage claim and head right for your gate. For now, the new curbsides are on the airport’s Blue Side for passengers flying on American Airlines, Delta Airlines, United Airlines, Frontier Airlines, JetBlue Airways, Copa Airlines, Cayman Airways and Swift Air. The Red Side will be added sometime in 2025.

The CDC is joining the FDA to recommend approval of for a single dose booster shot for the Moderna, Johnson & Johnson and Pfizer vaccines, as well as using a mix and match option for those shots using either of the three vaccines. You’ll have to wait six months for the booster from Moderna and two months for the Johnson & Johnson after your initial dose. The manatee mortality rate continues to climb at a record rate in 2021, even worse than 2020. The Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission said 63 manatees died in 2020, and we’ve already lost 938 this year. The FWC refers to this year as an unusual mortality event and defines that “a stranding that is unexpected; involves a significant die-off of any marine mammal population; and demands immediate response.”
