On this day in music history, Prince and the Revolution started a two week run at #1 on the US singles chart with the song, Let’s Go Crazy.

This was Prince’s second US #1 song, and it was also a #7 hit in the UK.

The song Let’s Go Crazy is the opening track on the album Purple Rain AND also in the film Purple Rain, as well!
