The Bangles

On this day in music history the American all girl group, The Bangles, started a four week run at #1 on the UK singles chart with Eternal Flame.

The song was #1 in Australia, too. It was actually the BIGGEST SELLING SINGLE of 1989!

And it went to #1 in the US.

Bottom line, the song was HUGE!

*On a side note, I used to sing songs from The Bangles with my friends back in the day. Well, we would TRY to sing their songs. Mostly lip sync them, I guess. 😄
