On this day in music history, Adele broke the record for the longest time at #1 on the UK album chart - by a female solo artist - with her album 21!

The album was HUGE and spent 10 consecutive weeks at the top of the chart in the UK - with songs like Rolling in The Deep, Rumor Has It, and Someone Like You!

Madonna held the previous record in 1990.

*Adele’s 21 also topped the US charts for over 20 weeks!!
